Like Scalextric on your vinyl?

Is this the world’s most portable record player?

When RCA tapes took over vinyl records in 1958, consumers were looking for a portable way to listen to music. Almost 60 years later, RokBlock have launched a truly portable player. They’re claiming it’s ‘the world’s smallest wireless record player’.

This new product is, in essence, a mini car which drives round your record at the required speed with a cartridge below. It’s started and stopped by flicking the lever on top. Unlike your normal player, it sends the signal via bluetooth to your wireless speaker.

Will you be taking your vinyl to the park? I think I’ll keep mine inside..

It’s an interesting concept. Will it catch on? The Kickstarter community think so.  It’s currently 97% funded after just 2 days! Head over to their campaign page to find out more and support them.
